Hashimoto's

properties.11 Goitrogens are substances that can inhibit iodine uptake in your
thyroid gland.
Vegetables like
broccoli, Brussels sprouts and kale contain these compounds, which can be
especially problematic when consumed in large amounts or if iodine intake is
insufficient. You can reduce the goitrogenic effect via cooking, which is why I
highly recommend cooking your vegetables thoroughly.
Lectins can also
increase gut permeability (leaky gut) and disrupt your gut microbiome, which
can trigger or exacerbate autoimmune responses in conditions like Hashimoto's
thyroiditis.12 Some of the highest sources of lectins are uncooked beans,
peanuts, cashews, whole grains and raw nightshade vegetables.
Manage stress through
techniques like meditation or adaptogenic herbs, such as ashwagandha. Certain

From Dr Cordain Paleo Diet
Phytates found in legumes and grains prevent absorption of iron,
zinc, calcium and magnesium and relying on these foods causes nutritional deficiency
in adults and children. Dr Cordain states that Vitamin C counteracts the
inhibitory affects of mineral absorption caused by the phytates.
My take is this: Now we know why there is osteoporosis and bone
loss and why there are so many bone injuries in sports. It is imperative to
take Skeletal Strength which has all the needed minerals and vitamins in it for
bone strength and for rebuilding bones.
Legumes and soy when taken in high amounts pave the way for
developing leaky gut.
Here is another antinutrient that Dr Cordain warns us about. It
is called saponins. It is derived from the Latin word “ soap”. Saponins are found
in all legumes like soy beans, all dried beans, chick peas, lentils and so on.
Dr Cordain says that the more saponins we ingest the greater will be the damage
to our body’s cells. Saponins cause rupture to our red blood cells and impair
the blood’s oxygen carrying capacity. Saponins also cause gut permeability also
known as leaky gut. Leaky gut causes toxins and food before it is fully digested to move into
the blood stream thereby causing the stagnation of the blood, impairing blood
circulation and lowering the body temperature.
Here is the Paleo Bottom Line by Dr Cordain.
“Don’t eat grains which include wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn,
rice, sorghum, millet. Avoid pseudo grains such as buckwheat. Chia, amaranth and
quinoa.”
All of the grains and pseudo grains that Dr Cordain asks us to
avoid are all very high in starches. Starches are all high glycemic and they
convert to sugar in your body. Sugar feeds Candida yeast and Candida causes all
kinds of havoc in your body. Candida makes xenoestrogens which cause detriment
to all hormones. Do you ever wonder why women suffer from PMS, irritability, menopausal
symptoms? They are all related to a high Candida count. Do you ever wonder why
there are so many women and men on thyroid medications like Synthroid? Candida
causes the slowing down of the thyroid function. Do you ever question why there
is heart palpitations and heart arrythmia problems? The thyroid is responsible
for the rhythm of the heart function. Candida slows down the thyroid functions.
Do you ever ask why there is a problem with obesity? Candida slows down the thyroid
functions and metabolism slows down. Have you ever asked what causes non alcoholic
fatty liver disease? Candida produces ethanol alcohol and the liver is burdened

Here is something interesting. The glycemic load of honey is 32 which
is way lower than sugar and fructose but in the glycemic load scale it is still
high. There fore with Candida problems I would avoid it.
What to do if you are suffering from almost any kind of problems.
You most likely have a high Candida count and a low body temperature. A healthy
body temperature is around 37 C. You can take your body temperature first thing
in the morning before any movement. Take it about 3 times in a week and average
it out. Most of the TAFYH students I work with have low body temperatures and that
is an indication of high Candida count. Here are the simple steps you need to follow:
Avoid all grains, legumes, sugar, pop, alcohol, fruit juice.
Eat grass fed meat, chicken, turkey, lamb, buffalo, fish,
seafood, raw milk cheese, grass fed yogurt, cream, cottage cheese, butter,
coconut oil, Olive oil, greens of all kinds, lettuce, spinach, kale, avocadoes,
celery, green onion, cucumber, green olives, cilantro, basil and pesto sauce.

Success Story Anne: Fatty Liver Disease Resolved May
2018
It was October of 2017
when life for Anne became dismal. “ I didn’t feel like me. I was really tired
all the time. I didn’t feel normal and I was gaining weight.” Anne decided a to
visit the doctor. The liver enzymes were high well over the normal range of 30.
The blood pressure was high, and the cholesterol was high. The doctor diagnosed
Anne with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. “I was in shock. I was leading a
healthy lifestyle. How could this be happening to me?” The doctor told Anne to
exercise, stop eating salt and to take a drug. “I would not do drugs!”
This is when Anne
decided to take action. She threw her prescriptions away. Instead she went to
see her Onsen Therapist, Linda Leeson, who advised her to call Donna Roth. “Linda
assured me that Donna has a nutritional
plan and this would have nothing to do with drugs. I trusted Linda. I
immediately called Donna. Donna asked me to join her new TAFYH team and I joined
TAFYH.” Linda knew that the liver is a key organ in the body to keep the blood
clean. She knew that she needed to give the liver nutrition to revitalize it
and to clean out the liver. Anne knew that nutrition has something to do with
health but “ I did not know that I needed to eliminate grains, beans and
alcohol. I was diligent, determined. I followed the plan even when I was in
Mexico for the winter.” Anne also discovered in TAFYH that the flu shot she
reluctantly received was the contributing poison that totally affected the
health of her liver. “ I never felt good about having that flu shot but I was
talked into it. This was the first flu shot I ever got in my life and I could
not believe that I actually had one!”
In December Anne went to have more lab tests
done. The ALT liver enzymes were still high at 36 and it should be less than
30. The cholesterol levels were still slightly on the high side. “I was
discouraged! That’s when Anne sent Donna an email to let her know that the
program was not working and that she was discouraged. Donna’s response was
simple,” Don’t quit!” Anne kept following the plan; doing smoothies every day,
taking LIV-C, Cat’s Claw, LBS11, MC taking Minerals and drinking water and
Chlorophyll. “I did 3 more months of smoothies and supplements and decided
another blood test was essential.” April 11/ 2018 the test results came in and
that’s when Anne was ready to shout from the roof tops. The liver enzymes came
down from 36 in December,2017 to 24 in April 2018, well below the normal range
of 30 and less. Wow! From 36 to 24! “ I was elated! I am really proud that I
did that; that I was able to get my liver back to health.” Today Anne feels
totally different. She totally knows that when the liver is sick nothing works.
She has also lost weight from 215 pounds down to 194 and her blood pressure is
down to normal. “I am thrilled the weight is coming off. I am not tired any
more. I could see muscle tone in the back of my arms. My whole body was
swollen, my face was swollen, and all that swelling is gone. It is so great to
see the veins in my hands and my legs once again.
Anne wants to share some
