Oral Chelation

MC and Oral Chelation

Atherosclerosis—hardening of the arteries—is caused by the arterial walls hardening and thickening from deposits of plaque. This causes a narrowing of the arteries and leads to high blood pressure and the risk of stroke and heart attacks. The plaque is composed of oxidized cholesterol (cholesterol that has combined with unstable oxygen molecules) and mineral depositions.

Over 60 million Americans suffer from some form of heart disease, resulting in over $56 billion a year in medical costs for treatment of these conditions. Heart attacks, alone, are responsible for over 550,000 deaths in the United States every year! Heart bypass surgeries, angioplasties (surgical altering of blood vessels) and cholesterol-lowering drugs are typical medical approaches to this problem.

There is a natural approach that offers a way to deal with atherosclerosis. It can help to prevent heart disease and improve overall health safely, effectively, and at an incredibly reduced cost. This approach is chelation. Pronounced key-LAY-shun, this odd word originally comes from Greek roots. “Chele” means “to claw” or “to bind or grab.” When we talk about chelation therapy, we are talking about ”clawing,” “grabbing” or otherwise binding toxins, heavy metals, metabolic wastes and unhealthy buildup in the circulatory system. This allows these to be taken off the artery walls and out of the tissues so they can be flushed from the body.

Intravenous chelation therapy with EDTA (a synthetic amino acid that binds up or “chelates” heavy metals), has been shown to be safe and effective in reversing atherosclerosis, preventing heart attacks and strokes and improving circulation and overall health, and can be used as an alternative to bypass surgery and angioplasty. It takes a series of visits to a medical doctor (MD), or licensed naturopathic medical doctor (NMD), who practices chelation therapy to accomplish these results.

Unfortunately, even with the overwhelming positive results reported by doctors who use chelation therapy, the FDA and AMA still refuse to endorse this form of medical treatment. There are those who suggest that this stand is more motivated by the financial agendas of large pharmaceutical companies (who cannot make money on a commonly available food additive like ETDA), rather than a true concern for the health care needs of the hundreds of thousands of people who could benefit from the therapy.

Another Option: Oral Chelation

Doctors who practice intravenous chelation are hard to come by, but there is an even less expensive and easy-to-obtain alternative—oral chelation. Oral chelation uses natural, nutritional products in the home without having to step into a doctor’s office. Oral chelation is gentler and slower acting than intravenous chelation, creating less dramatic results at the outset, but over the long run can be just as effective. So, unless there is a life threatening need (which should be handled by clinical health care providers, anyway), oral chelation is a wonderful option for those who wish to improve their cardiovascular health. Properly administered, oral chelation is noninvasive, quite effective, relatively inexpensive and very safe.

Here is how oral chelation works. Free radicals are unstable molecules that steal electrons from other molecules, causing harm to the body’s health. What this means is that when a free radical molecule comes in contact with a stable molecule, it pulls an electron from the stable molecule, which makes the molecule unstable and chemically reactive within the body. Formerly benign and nontoxic molecules then become toxic to the body.

Antioxidants are nutritionally-based substances that act as free radical scavengers. High levels of these antioxidants grab and pull toxins from the bloodstream, which allows the body to slowly dissolve and dissipate arterial plaque. Mega-Chel is a formula which provides many of these nutrients.

Oral chelation with MegaChel can not only reduce arterial plaque and lessen the risk of heart attack and stroke, it can also help remove calcification from hardened tissues and rid the body of heavy metals, such as lead and mercury, and other toxins. Oral chelation may be helpful in reducing blood pressure and improving impotency problems in males due to circulatory issues, too.

Here is a breakdown of the ingredients in this remarkable blend.

Vitamins

Vitamin A and beta-carotene are antioxidants which help protect the cells against cancer, disease and aging. They are essential for protein synthesis and for the maintenance and repair of cells and tissues.

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that is required for tissue growth. It protects against blood clotting and bruising, promotes the healing of wounds and reduces cholesterol levels and high blood pressure.

Vitamin D is required for calcium and phosphorus absorption that is essential for all muscles including the heart, as well as for enhancing immunity.

Vitamin E improves circulation, repairs tissues, prevents cardiovascular disease and reduces blood pressure. It is also an antioxidant that prevents cell damage

Collectively, the B vitamins enhance circulation and are necessary for the formation of red blood cells, antibody production, metabolism and the absorption of vitamins and minerals. Essential for the proper functioning of the nerves, digestion, muscles and circulation, they are involved in cell division, replication and growth, energy production, respiration. They help facilitate the uptake of iron and oxygen use by the body’s tissues, prevent deposition of cholesterol around the heart muscle and are needed for normal muscle tone of the heart and circulatory system.

Biotin aids in the metabolism of foods, cell growth, fatty acid production and in the utilization of B-complex vitamins

Pantothenic acid is essential for all cells and is concentrated in organs for their normal function. It plays a role in adrenal hormone production, antibody formation, and vitamin utilization

Inositol helps prevent hardening of the arteries. It is important in fat and cholesterol metabolism and removes fat from the liver.

Minerals

Calcium is an important mineral for the maintenance of regular heartbeat and the transmission of nerve impulses to the heart muscle and all other muscles. It also inhibits the absorption of heavy metals including lead.

Iron has the important role of producing hemoglobin and for the oxygenation of red blood cells

Phosphorus is needed in the electrochemical processes involved with the contraction of the heart muscle. It also assists in the utilization of vitamins and the conversion of food to energy

Iodine is needed in trace amounts to help metabolize excess fat and is important in physical and mental function as well as healthy thyroid function.

Magnesium is essential for enzyme activity responsible for the transmission of nerve and muscle impulses. It helps prevent muscle weakness and heart disease.

Zinc in needed to maintain proper concentrations of vitamin E in the blood. It protects the immune system and protects the liver from chemical damage.

Selenium is a powerful anti-oxidant that works synergistically with vitamin E to maintain a healthy heart and assists the immune system in antibody production.

Copper plays a role in the formation of bone, red blood cells and hemoglobin. It is also part of healing, energy production and healthy nerves.

Manganese in trace amounts is necessary for fat and protein metabolism, blood sugar regulation, and for healthy nervous and immune systems.

Chromium is needed to metabolize glucose into usable energy. Essential in maintaining stable blood sugar in diabetics and hypoglycemics, low levels are an indication of coronary artery disease.

Potassium is very important for a regular heartbeat and a healthy nervous system. It plays a role in transmitting electrochemical impulses that result in proper muscle contraction, stable blood pressure, proper water balance and the transfer of nutrients to the cells.

Other Ingredients

Citrus bioflavonoids and rutin are not true vitamins but are essential for the absorption of vitamin C. They must be supplied by diet. They protect and preserve the structure of capillary blood vessels and promote circulation, lower cholesterol levels which helps lower the risk of heart disease

p-Aminobenzoic Acid (PABA) acts a coenzyme in the breakdown of and utilization of proteins as well as in the formation of red blood cells.

Coenzyme Q10 is an anti-oxidant found in human tissues that supports the immune system. It is used in the treatment and prevention of heart disease and high blood pressure. Unfortunately, its production declines with age

Adrenal, spleen and thymus substance are natural forms of these glands that support our glands in the production of the necessary hormones needed for proper digestion, metabolism and muscle tone, including the heart and veins. They also help maintain normal blood sugar levels and normal blood pressure.

Cod liver oil provides needed essential fatty acids that protect the heart by modulating blood pressure and helps resist the formation of blood clots that cause heart attacks. EFAs also support the immune system and decrease inflammation along with other functions.

Ginkgo leaf (Ginkgo biloba) contains numerous compounds that improve peripheral circulation, oxygenation and blood flow. It also provides antioxidants that stimulate the immune system in the fight against inflammation as well as memory, kidney and heart disorders.

Hawthorn berries have numerous nutrients that support the heart and circulatory system. They are used to treat and prevent heart disease as they can dilate coronary blood vessels, restore the heart muscle wall and lower cholesterol levels.

L-Cysteine HCL is an amino acid that works with Vitamins C and B6 to reduce oxidative stress caused by disease, drugs, chemicals, or heavy metals.

Oral Chelation

It is very important to start slowly on this product. Begin by taking 1 tablet twice daily for a week. Then take 2 tablets twice daily for the second week. Take 1 ounce of Chinese Mineral Chi with the MC twice daily. Gradually increase the dose of MC to 4-6 tablets with a meal twice daily, depending on body weight. Maintain this dosage level for one month for every 10 years of your age. Then gradually taper off in a similar manner, dropping the dose by 2 tablets each week.

MC can be taken in place of a Vitamin/Mineral supplement for elderly people concerned about cardiac health. Take 1-2 Tablets twice daily as a maintenance dose. To rid the body of calcium deposits, take 2 tablets twice daily with hydrangea. The same dose can be taken with Heavy Metal Detox for heavy metal detoxification. Combined with VariGone and butcher’s broom, MC can also be used to relieve varicose veins.

Dr. Mercola on Lectins

Dr. Mercola on Lectins

Gluten intolerance is only one problem linked to eating wheat, and may not even be the most serious one. That honor may actually go towheat lectin.

Lectin is a defense mechanism for the wheat plant, designed to ward of its natural enemies such as fungi and insects. Unfortunately, this protein is also very resistant to breakdown by living systems, and it easily accumulates in tissues where it interferes with normal biological processes and acts as an anti-nutrient.

All seeds of the grass family (rice, wheat, spelt, rye, etc.) have high levels of lectin.

Typically, sprouting, fermenting or digestion can help to negate some of the harmful effects of such anti-nutrients (as in the case of fermenting soy, which removes many of its anti-nutrient properties). However, lectins are resistant to these types of processes.

For this reason, lectins exist even in “healthy” sprouted breads and may be in their highest concentrations in whole-wheat varieties.

One form of lectin, wheat germ agglutinin (WGA), is capable of passing through cell membranes of your intestines, gaining entry into your body where it is:

  • Pro-inflammatory
  • Immunotoxic
  • Neurotoxic
  • Cyctotoxic (may induce programmed cell death)

How Can You Know for Sure if Grains are Right or Wrong for You?

If you have signs of celiac disease or gluten intolerance, a blood test can confirm the diagnosis -- if it comes back positive it is imperative that you do not eat gluten in order to avoid further damage to your health.

In addition to nausea, diarrhea, constipation and abdominal pain, celiac disease may manifest clinically with an array of non-gastrointestinal symptoms, such as fatigue, osteoporosis, anemia, infertility, depression, organ disorders and more, so be sure to get the blood test if you suspect gluten may be a contributing factor.

Other people who could benefit from avoiding grains right off the bat are those with health problems including:

  • Overweight
  • High cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Cancer

This is because grains rapidly break down to sugar in your body, which causes rises in insulin that exacerbate and even trigger health problems such as these.

Brain Power

Focus Attention

Increasingly, both children and adults suffer from a mental restlessness that inhibits concentration and learning. Known as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), this problem can cause difficulty with decision making, task completion, forgetfulness, being easily distracted, lack of concentration, hyperactivity and impatience.

Focus Attention was formulated to help balance and calm mental function in order to improve concentration and focus. The herbs and nutrients in this blend help over-stimulated and undernourished brains function more effectively. It enhances the production of calming neurotransmitters in the brain that reduce excessive activity. The blend may also have a calming effect on some seizures.

Here is what each of the ingredients in this formula do.

Slippery Elm Bark (Ulmus fulva) is a mucilaginous herb that is cleansing and soothing to the digestive system. Most of the time children and adults with ADHD have a lot of irritation in their gastrointestinal tract and often have a problem with leaky gut syndrome. Slippery elm soothes this irritation and promotes better health of the gastrointestinal tract.

l-Glutamine is one of the most abundant of the amino acids. It is a nonessential amino acid but becomes very essential when the body is in a stressed state. It helps boost the production of GABA, a neurotransmitter that calms the brain and reduces restlessness. Low levels of GABA promote excitatory neurotransmitters and may be a factor in both ADHD and seizures. L-glutamine is also an important amino acid for repairing leaky gut syndrome.

DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol) has been shown to play a role in the accelerated synthesis of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter in the brain responsible for memory and learning. It has also been shown to be effective for children and adults with hyperactivity, shortened attention span, speech problems and learning disabilities. People taking DMAE supplements have reported less fatigue and better sleep at night. Double blind studies have also shown positive behavioral changes with the use of DMAE. Supplementation with DMAE may result in better memory retention, elevated mood, increased intelligence and expanded learning capacity.

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) has a long history as a calming and soothing remedy for stress and tension. It is a mild sedative that helps relieve tension and promote sleep. It also supports the immune system with its anti-inflammatory action. Recent research has shown that lemon balm has powerful memory-boosting action and may prove effective against serious memory disorders like Alzheimer’s.

Other studies show that the plant modulates mood and cognitive performance in young, healthy volunteers. The leaves contain citrus flavonoids and vitamin C that reduce free radical and age-related damage to the brain. They affect vascular permeability, which improves the uptake of nutrients and oxygen to the brain. These flavonoids work with hormones and other biochemicals in the brain that regulate memory processes. It is now known that the herb affects acetylcholine receptor activity in the central nervous system.

Grape Seed Extract (Vitis vinifera) is one of the most powerful antioxidants on the planet. It neutralizes brain-damaging free radicals caused by toxins and stress.

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) was discovered to contain flavonoids that enhance brain health in European studies. There are over 400 published studies to support all of the multifaceted benefits of this herbal remedy. It increases blood flow to the brain, inhibits platelet aggregation and delivers improvement of memory. It helps to normalize acetylcholine receptors in the hippocampus and increases the activity of neurotransmitters. It is widely used as an antidepressant and helps keep emotions and social interactions stable.

Ginkgo has the ability to speed the rate of data transmission at the nerve cell level. It actually protects the nerve cells from damage during periods of oxygen deficiency. It is the terpene lactones that account for Ginkgo’s ability to improve memory and mental capacity. This improves the quality of neuron processing and minimizes free radical damage to brain cells. It increases short-term memory and aids in more rapid recall in adults and schoolchildren.

Once you have become disease free it is important not to drift back to your old patterns of eating which caused the disease in the first place. This way of eating is a life shift that will continue to improve your health and reduce your risk of repeating chronic conditions such as heart disease, cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, autoimmune diseases which afflict 70% of our population.

Cellular Circulation and Omega 3

Cellular Circulation and Omega 3

According to Dr. Rosedale what is important in cellular circulation is what goes into the cells and what comes out of the cells. It makes no difference what gets to the cells. It's what gets into the cell that is crucial. What is it that enhances cellular circulation? It is Omega 3.

A study was done on a breed of cats that were genetically susceptible to cancer. These cats were fed a high amount of Omega 3 fatty acids plus iron. Antioxidants such as vitamin E or vitamin C were not used in this study. Here is what was discovered. The high omega 3's shrunk the tumours to nothing because the cancer cells were exploding from getting oxidized so rapidly. The omega 3 increased cell fluidity so that the O2 could rapidly get into the cells thereby causing rapid cancer cell apoptosis.

Dr Rosedale claims that because we are a sugar society we all have diabetes in one form or another.. If that is true and we know sugar feeds cancer than we are also all candidates for cancer. It's only a matter of time before each one of us becomes diagnosed with cancer. It's been said it takes about 10 years for cancer to develop in our bodies. We need to direct our attention to eliminating sugars and carbohydrates. Dr Rosedale states there are about 56 essential nutrients that stem cells require for healthy cell replication and grains and sugars don't contain any of them.

Sugar is very toxic. When you consume sugar your body burns it instead of burning fat. Your body's desired fuel is fat not sugar. Without Omega 3 your cells do not breathe and the insulin cannot enter the cells to burn the sugar. The cells become insulin resistant. Then the insulin forms saturated fat which leads to clogged arteries, obesity and decreased cell circulation.

It must be recognized that omega 3 fatty acids cannot be manufactured by the body and must be obtained through food sources. Not all Omega 3’s are the same. According to Dr. Cordain for an Omega 3 to have an impact on cellular circulation it must have the three types of fatty acids which are ALA, EPA and DHA. Furthermore it is important that the Omega 3 capsule contains a ratio of at least 30:15 EPA to DHA. For significant cell circulation to occur Dr Cordain recommends at least 5 , 1000mg capsules a day of Omega 3 .

Cancer is Not Genetic

Cancer is Not Genetic

According to Ron Gdansky “Knowledge gives us power. Fear of the unknown allows us to be led and abused. Information in this book can guide us in preventing and treating cancer effectively with or without chemotherapy, radiation or surgery. The key to understanding cancer is recognizing and accepting that cancer cells are simply fungal infected normal cells. If you are diagnosed with cancer, think, “I have a fungal infection. It's not a life threatening disease if you take the correct actions to eliminate the causes. If all you do is treat symptoms, it becomes a life threatening disease.” quote Ron Gdansky.

Another key to understanding cancer is to eliminate the concept of “cancer is genetic” from your thought process. There are no known genetic defects ever associated with cancer. Genes do not control their own mitosis or reproduction. The only mechanism known to initiate mitosis in mature human cells is current-of –injury. The current-of injury process begins when there is a need to repair damaged cells. Cells do not suddenly decide to multiply on their own accord. Cancer is not as a result of a defective gene theory .Genetic defects in cancer cells result from fungal integration into the stem cell line during the process of cell replication for the purpose of repairing an injury and that process alters the genetic chromosomes of the cells. There are no genetic defects that cause cancer. The defects occur because of cancer.

Now it is certainly possible to be born with certain genetic weaknesses which can effect the functions of the organs and glands of the body. Such weaknesses cause these organs to be vulnerable to injury from various sources including stress, heavy metals, toxicity, infections, candida, nutritional deficiencies and so on. Once the current-of-injury is set up with a lack of nutrients for injury repair, a congested lymphatic system , a sufficient sugar content , a drop of oxygen levels to below 35% then these genetically weak organs are easily infected by fungus and cancer is the result.

I Have Somewhat to Say About pH.

I Have Somewhat to Say About pH.

It is important to understand what happens to food after it is digested and metabolized by the body. Two of the by-products from food metabolism is CO2 and ammonia produced by oxidation of glutomine. Glutomine is an important amino acid needed for the synthesis of of all other amino acids. It also provides the cells with an abundance of energy and is known to be the most abundant amino acid in the human blood. Glutomine is very useful for the repair of injury such as cancer, trauma, burns and in the anabolic process of building organs and tissues. Glutomine is abundant in beef, chicken, fish, eggs, cabbage, spinach and parsley.

CO2 is eliminated via the lungs. However if the lung capacity is limited and there is difficulty in CO2 elimination then the CO2 combines with ammonia and converts it to urea in the liver. Healthy kidney functions excrete the urea. The CO2 can also combine with water and using the enzyme carbonic anhydrase and the mineral ion zinc converts to hydrogen and bicarbonate. Hydrogen is acid and H stands for potential of hydrogen or potential acids. Acids are normal by-products of the metabolism of all foods. The body has a lymphatic system to eliminate these acids through our natural elimination channels which are the bowels, the kidneys, the skin and the lungs. However, when the lymphatic system becomes congested with poor foods, sugars, drugs, vaccines, toxicity, the liver becomes stressed and the kidneys start to malfunction. Consequently these acids in the body do not get eliminated and become stored in the interstitial spaces or the spaces between the cells in the tissues. As the tissue acids increase the pH of the blood increases and becomes alkaline. Increased alkalinity means increased O2 intake causing the Bohr effect where the red blood cells become over saturated with O2 to the point that the blood cells cannot release this oxygen into the cells and tissues of the body. The cells and tissues are then deprived of O2. In 1931, Dr Otto Warburg proved that when O2 levels to the cells drop to below 35% oxidation can no longer take place. If there is enough sugar in the tissues this process flips into fermentation where yeast, mold and fungus become active. In cancer, the fungal DNA integrates into the stem cell line during the process of cell replication for the purpose of healing an injury and mutates the cells to form cancer cells.

It is important to note that as more acid accumulates in the tissues it eventually get pushed into the cells. At this point, the acid in the cell starts to displace the minerals in the cell. First the cell acid displaces the potassium, then the magnesium, then the sodium. Where does the potassium go when it gets displaced by the acids? It goes into the blood stream. Now upon having the blood tested for potassium levels, the potassium in the blood tests high and the common recommendation is to stop eating all potassium rich foods. There is a total lack of understanding here. Potassium is found in all good foods we eat. Potassium is a critical mineral in every cell. Along with magnesium and sodium it maintains the spark of energy, of life. Without potassium the cells malfunction, the tissues of the organs begin to disintegrate. In other words, the organs begin to die. The key to lowering the potassium levels in the blood is to feed he body with high dense mineral/potassium solution such as Chinese Mineral Chi Tonic to neutralize the acids and to use Cat's Claw Combination to feed the lymphatic system to move the acids out from the cells and tissues through the natural elimination channels. Once the acids from the cells and tissues move out, then there is room for the potassium in the blood to return back to the cells where it belongs. At this point, the potassium levels in the blood decrease, the energy levels of the cells increase and the spark of life returns.

Cancer of the Ureter

Cancer of the Ureter

On the day of September 8, 2009 Marg’s bathroom experience was traumatic. She had just witnessed a lot of blood flow in her urine. The urine was dark and bloody. She immediately made an appointment with her physician who scheduled Marg for an ultrasound cystoscopy and pylogram. The cytoscopy showed there was nothing in the bladder but the pylogram indicated that there was a 2 cm blockage in the ureter and that the ureter was almost entirely blocked with only a 7% opening. The urine then was backing up into the kidney and the urine had to be rerouted to the other kidney. A general scope was recommended and Marg then underwent a general anaesthetic surgery where the area of the ureter was thoroughly scoped and the doctor confirmed that the blockage was a cancerous growth in the ureter. It was diagnosed as transitional cancer of the ureter. The doctor recommended surgery and if the ureter could not be reconnected removal of the left kidney and ureter would be necessary. Marg did not want the kidney to be removed as there was the future possibility of dialysis down the road. She started to look at all of the alternative options and it was her husband’s cousin , a doctor of chiropractic that gave Marg a copy of Donna Roth’s book, Practical Solution to the Cancer Injury Manual .

On November 13, 2009 Marg and her husband came to see Donna Roth who proceeded to educate them on the cause of cancer and how it can be totally eliminated provided they agreed to follow a specific foods program and the Paw Paw program . Enthusiastically the agreement was made and Marg started on her new journey. However to say the least there was a lot of anxiety on the part of Marg as to whether the Paw Paw program would work as there was no way of finding out if this Paw Paw program was making a difference. Now the Paw Paw program was not always a smooth road. Soon after starting Paw Paw Marg started to feel nausea . With the expertise knowledge of Donna Roth she was reassured that there was nothing to worry about and that the Paw Paw was in fact doing its job and that it was detoxifying the unwanted toxins through the lymphatic system of the intestinal tract . Specific instructions were given and Marg continued to take the Paw Paw program as directed. Then there were on occasion bouts of diarrhea lasting about 20 minutes at a stretch. Finally there was all kinds of anxiety and fear around the decision that Marg had made : not to have surgery and to do the Paw Paw program instead.
In January of 2010 Marg ended up with symptoms of gout where her toes were inflamed and the foot was very painful. This is where Donna suggested a one day kidney cleanse and some kidney herbs to further flush the kidneys. The Zyto scan recommended the herbals Marg needed to take at this time and once again Marg agreed to take responsibility. She did the kidney flush. It is the belief of Donna Roth that the gout symptoms were nothing more than a healing crisis. In the middle of January Marg went in to have another ultrasound and the results sounded very promising. The doctor said that kidney was no longer conspicuous as previously noted. In other words the size of the kidney had reduced. Marg felt much more confident in the Paw Paw program and continued it faithfully.

Then on June 18, 2010 Marg had one more ultrasound scan indicating that the kidney was back to its normal size. However the doctor said that perhaps the kidney might have gone into necrosis where it had totally shrunk and would no longer be functioning. Marg allowed for the doctor’s interpretations but felt it was just an over cautious outlook because of the normal creatine test, normal kidney function and general fine health. Marg believes her kidney has healed and the cancer disappeared by following the Paw Paw program without any surgery . For this reason she has agreed to share her story with others so that it may help someone else with cancer.

However Marg’s story would not be complete without mentioning the side benefits of the Paw Paw program. Firstly over a 4 month period she lost 30 unwanted pounds; secondly, and more importantly, her blood pressure dropped to the point where she could discard her hypertension medication after 38 years of use.

Many thanks to Marg for sharing her story.

Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer June , 2010

This letter is from Bob and Ruth of Fargo, North Dakota. We found out about you from our daughter, Bonnie who lives in Manitoba. We have appreciated listening in on your Monday evening conference calls! During a recent phone conversation with Bonnie, you asked her to have me provide you with a brief history of my efforts to deal with prostate cancer so that you could discuss this with us via phone call.
\
Until about 2005, my PSA was 4. Because of a higher level in 2008, a biopsy was conducted on 4-21-08 and I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. At that time my PSA was 6.89. The test showed a Gleason score of 7 and Stage T2. A bone scan on 5-6-08 showed no metastic disease; the cancer was contained within the prostate gland. I refused surgery, radiation and chemo. Rather, I opted for watchful waiting. PSA was tested about every 3 months. Here are the results of those tests:
Aug. 11, 2008 ( PSA 9.23),
Dec. 2, 2008 (PSA 16.68),
Mar.11, 2009 (PSA 24),
Nov. 10, 2009 (PSA 92.47),
Jan. 12, 2010 (PSA 140).
April 12, 2010 (PSA 176.3)
ON MARCH 2, 2010, I STARTED ON THE PAW PAW PROGRAM AND CONTINUED THE PERIODIC PSA TESTING WITH MY UROLOGIST. By the time of the April 12 test date showing a PSA of 176.3, both my urologist and primary care physician gave me several more urgent warnings to submit to one of the treatments they recommended, i.e.,radiation, hormone therapy, chemo, etc.

In the interest of gaining some feed back as to whether the Paw Paw Program was having any effect, I looked on the internet and found a diagonstic testing lab with a rating from the Better Business Bureau, named Test Medical Symptoms @ Home. Inc. . Phone 888-595-3139. info@testsysmptpmsathome.com They provided a home test kit for taking a blood sample from your finger and placing it on a special absorbant material. When dry, the sample is mailed to the lab which is under the direction of a medical doctor. The test results were mailed back showing that my PSA is now down to 10! What a dramatic effect, The cost of this service was $40.50 The turn around time for test results was 2 weeks.

In an effort to verify the accuracy of the test, I attempted to have my primary care physician authorize a PSA test at the lab serving his office. He refused, stating that it had been only two and one half months since the last one and it would only be viewed as an abuse of the Medicare Health program. He further stated there was nothing I could do to reduce my score and for me to urgently get over to the urologist and begin one of the main stream medical treatments! It was not even possible for me to pay cash for the further test, So, I told them to "have a nice day" and then went to work on this letter.

With appreciation, Ruth and Bob
