Painful Shoulder Blade

Most nutritionists would encourage everyone to have a balanced diet including deep greens, fresh fruits, lean meats, good fats and the essential vitamins and minerals needed for optimum health. However, research is consistently showing that eating a “balanced diet” is simply not enough these days. According to recent research, there has been a steep decline during the past 50 years in the nutrient value of fruits and vegetables grown in fields. Currently you would have to eat 30 oranges to get the same amount of vitamin C that your grandparents received by only eating “one” orange 50 years ago. Needless to say, the fruit and vegetables of today are running on empty.

Many people just are not eating well enough to gather the proper amount of nutrition from their daily intake of food. According to Gladys Block, Professor of Public Health at UC Berkeley, only 9% of the population eats the recommended five servings of fruit and vegetables daily. Many people need nutritional supplements to replace the nutrients they aren’t getting from their food. Cooking food with a temperature higher than 120 degrees destroys between 20 to 50% of the vitamins in your food. Water soluble vitamins like ascorbic acid are particularly vulnerable to cooking and can be completely destroyed by microwaving, boiling and broiling.

Many people are not aware of the nutrients that are lost in transportation of food. This very fresh food often gets stuck on trucks and in storehouses for long periods of time depleting nutrients. Some fruits and vegetables are stored at high pressure and in inert gas atmospheres that are harmful to enzymes and speed up deterioration. The newest laws have now put into effect the need for irradiation and sterilized filtrations. These practices kill nutrients on the spot as well as introduce radiation to our bodies. One recent test compared 2 sets of oranges that oranges picked the same day from the same field. Group one was tested the same day and found to contain 180mg of vitamin C. Group 2 was put in storage for the typical amount of time it takes to transport and then tested. Both oranges looked exactly the same but the vitamin C content in group 2 had dropped to zero verses group 1! Nutritional supplements such as super supplemental are designed to deliver vitamin and nutrient content to our bodies in an easily digestible form. The benefit from taking quality nutritional supplements is that they have been designed to not degrade or lose potency during storage as compared to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Food Processing is another culprit that destroys essential nutrients. When fermented alcoholically or with lactic acid, fruits also lose major amounts of their nutrition value. For example, after refining of flour, up to 98% of original mineral content is lost. Nutritional supplements are essential to replace the vitamins that heavily processed food has lost during processing.

Soil depletion is a major problem for today’s modern day farmers. Even if you are eating a majority of fresh, unprocessed foods, chances are very high that you are still nutrient deficient. Due to over-farming and lack of crop rotation, most farmland is seriously nutrient depleted. Currently farmers only replace a fraction of the nutrients back into the depleted soils. These deficient soils lack probiotics, and soil organisms that help pre-digest minerals for easier uptake and utilization by the plant. In other wards it is like the plants are lacking enzymes and can no longer digest the minerals that come from the soil. This in turn affects the human and their uptake of nutrients from the plant. These helpful microbes are often absent, due to the condition of the soil and the destructive chemicals and pesticides used in farming.

Gall Bladder Flush

One young woman in her early 20's spent one weekend in the hospital because she had experienced severe pain only to find out that she was diagnosed with gall stones . Surgery was recommended but she looked for options. She decided it would be easier to do the gallstone cleanse than to undergo gall bladder surgery. Besides when the gall bladder is removed than the time keeper for the delivery of bile for the digestion of fats in the duodenum is lost. Chocolate Mousse

4 oz unsweetened chocolate
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups half and half
I/3 cup Xylitol or Stevia
3 eggs
4 egg yolks
Cut the chocolate into bits
Heat the cream and add the chocolate bits
Beat the eggs
Add to the heated cream in a stream while beating
Keep beating the mixture on med heat for 10 minutes
Let it cool.
Add 1 scoop of Flax Hull Lignans to your dish of Mousse.
Option : add some crushed almonds or walnuts
Top with whipping cream sweetened with Stevia
